Aura AQ Satellites are planned as compact, purpose-built devices that extend Aura coverage indoors and outside. The first hardware choices are still open, so community feedback can shape what gets built.
Names, sensor combinations, hardware, enclosures, power options and the number of versions may change after prototyping and community feedback.
Hub and Link are the current development focus. They are being built to provide the connection, storage and interpretation layer future Satellites will need.

These separate devices could interface with equipment such as extractor and ventilation fans. The current direction is for Hub to manage them locally, with Link adding remote monitoring and control through Hub.
These would be separate from Lite, Standard and Pro sensing devices. Supported equipment, interfaces, automation and safety rules are not final.
Concept boundaries
I am sharing these ideas before hardware design begins so feedback can influence the first prototypes.
The custom PCB, physical size, enclosure and environmental protection still need prototypes and testing.
Power options and the final connection implementation have not been selected.
Lite, Standard, Pro and Outdoor are working concepts. The names, sensors and number of versions may change.
There is no price, release date or order programme. Hardware work will follow the current Hub and Link focus.
First thoughts about Aura AQ Satellites
Many of you have asked for smaller Aura devices without screens. I agree that Satellites are an important next step for the Aura ecosystem.
I want them to be purpose-built devices on custom PCBs, not smaller copies of the current touchscreen station. The exact hardware is still open because I want prototypes and real use cases to decide what belongs in each version.
My current focus is Aura AQ Hub and Aura AQ Link. Together they create the foundation needed to connect, display, store and understand data from future Satellites. I will share more when the first hardware and PCB concepts are ready.
